Hi there!

I'm Jenn McGarvey

I am a lifelong chiropractic patient and have worked as a chiropractic assistant for more than 10 years. My favorite part of the job is giving hugs to patients in need!

My Story

Early chiropractic care

I grew up here in Van Wert and started chiropractic care as a teenager in sports. I really loved my chiropractor Dr. Casebere, some of you may have even known him.  He is the one that introduced me to chiropractic and the philosophy that the power that made the body heals the body.

Several years later I got married and my husband's work landed us in Albuquerque, NM. I wanted to find a part-time job and it was because of my early chiropractic exposure that I decided to become a chiropractic assistant. I already believed in chiropractic, but at that job, through Dr. Allen Miner, I learned the powerful potential of chiropractic care!

You see, my husband was diagnosed with cancer, and if that wasn't hard enough, we were also told we wouldn't be able to have children naturally. My husband had been left completely sterile due to the nasty side effects of cancer treatment. That was heartbreaking. But as we walked out of the doctor’s office, he grabbed my hand and said if we were going to have children, he believed God would allow it to happen naturally.

My Miracle

That was in January. Then we both started getting adjusted regularly. And guess what? By October, we were pregnant!

And that's not all! Miraculously, even though he had to receive more treatments a few years later, we conceived yet again!  I truly believe that chiropractic care can be restorative and healing. I have two reminders of that every day

Eventually my husband lost his courageous battle with cancer and my children and I moved back to Van Wert. It was then that we began care at Nygren Chiropractic and Acupuncture. My kiddos had been sick quite a bit and Dr. Nichole really helped turn their immune systems around. They got healthier. I'm thankful she was especially patient with my then very squirmy toddler!

Life now

I joined her practice shortly after, now running the front office. I work hard to help patients in any way I can. I love getting to serve our amazing patients and be a small part in helping them on the road to feeling better! Becoming friends and sharing in their lives is a big blessing to me!

I remarried in 2015 and even gained a step son! Together, Jason and I are raising three wonderful kiddos- from 6th grade to junior high.  We love spending time with our family, watching and supporting our kids as they develop new interests.  We also love spending time outdoors, riding bikes, hiking (especially near waterfalls!) and playing lots of Uno!

What I do in my free time

I spend my free time gardening (because one can never have too many plants), being in nature, exercising, crafting, and eating dark chocolate.

I truly love getting to raise my kids in the same community where I grew up.

To see so many friendly familiar faces while out and about makes me happy and thankful.

I look forward to getting to help you in any way I can!
